Companies can opt for aid worth 4,800 euros
The self-employed and companies that hire people who are registered in the National Youth Guarantee System may opt for a series of aids implemented through the Youth Employment programme, co-financed by the La Caixa Foundation and the European Social Fund.
The objective of the aid program is to make it easier for companies to create jobs for young people between the ages of 16 and 29 enrolled in the Youth Guarantee. The aid may be granted for those work contracts that have been formalized between November 22, 2022 and March 31, 2023. However, the call could end earlier if the funds run out.
Co-finance employment contract
The aid is based mainly on the co-financing of the employment contract of young people who are included in said system. Thus, according to the bases of the call, for each indefinite contract the company will be granted a maximum aid of 4,800 euros, which would mean about 800 euros per month. This amount will be delivered during the first six months of the employment contract, which is just the minimum stay time.
It must be taken into account that this amount will be reduced by 50% in the case of workers with disabilities whose shift is 50%.
The regulatory bases indicate that the aid may be granted for a maximum of 10 young people per entity or company. In this case, the salary cost of the young person hired corresponding to the subsidized period cannot be exceeded.
Employment contracts that are indefinite will be subsidized if there is a period of permanence of six months. In the event that young workers with severe disabilities are hired, part-time shifts of at least 50% of the day are allowed.
On the other hand, work contracts for training and apprenticeships, internship contracts, interim contracts, temporary contracts, permanent discontinuous contracts and contracts for provision will not be considered eligible.
