the Official State Gazette (BOE)<\/a> has published this Sunday a Ministerial Order in which they suspend intervention works in buildings in which there are people not involved in the construction, to avoid contact between workers and inhabitants and thus reduce the risk of contagion by coronavirus.<\/p>\nThe order explains that "the concentration of people in buildings" in which works are carried out in which "workers must share certain common spaces with residents or other users" implies an "increased risk of contagion by Covid-19." For this reason, the Government, to "guarantee the containment of the pandemic", proceeds to suspend "the execution of certain works."<\/p>\n
However, the prohibition will not affect those constructions or repairs of an "urgent" nature, such as installations, breakdowns or surveillance tasks of the property itself. "This restriction will not apply to those works in which said interference does not occur and the works to be carried out can be sectored or separated within the property they affect," the order determines.<\/p>\n
The order comes into force this Sunday and will continue "until the end of the state of alarm and its possible extensions, or until there are public health circumstances that justify a new order," the text concludes.<\/p>\n
