Given that the Government did not initially want to clarify its proposal, the social agents have understood that the SMI would be 996 euros, the arithmetic average between 987 and 1,005 euros.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, Ministry sources later clarified to the press that their proposal was to raise it to the symbolic figure of 1,000 euros, which is also what the unions demand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The norm will be analyzed by the social agents although agreement in social dialogue is not necessary to approve this increase, as the minister has recalled. The Government must only consult them and be interested in their opinion, but it can legislate without their agreement.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">The dialogue will end on Wednesday<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&quot;We will see if the decision ends with a tripartite agreement or a bipartite agreement, but the important thing is that there is social dialogue (...) The unions want more and the employers want less, and I always strike a balance between them,&quot; noted the minister, which has called them again for next Wednesday with the aim of approving the measure as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In fact, CCOO has warned that the dialogue is expected to end on Wednesday, whether there is an agreement or not.
