Thus, if the reason for the leave ceases to exist midway through the leave period\u2014for example, the discharge of a hospitalized family member\u2014the employee would be required to return to their job or, failing that, provide proof that the need for rest or support still exists.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With this decision, the Supreme Court emphasizes the importance of <\/span><b>prove the concurrence of the cause<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which protects absence, promoting good faith in the employment relationship.
