The Executive has initiated the urgent processing of a new Royal Decree that will require all companies to keep a daily record of working hours exclusively by digital means, with new requirements for traceability, accessibility and control by workers, the inspection and the unions.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

One of the main new features is the <\/span>mandatory use of digital means for daily work record<\/b>The system must be <\/span>objective, reliable and accessible<\/b>and guarantee the <\/span>traceability of any modification<\/b>In other words, manual or imprecise timekeeping will not suffice: the new model seeks to guarantee transparency and control over effective working time.<\/span><\/p>\n

The system must include as <\/span>minimum<\/b>:<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Worker identification and type of work schedule.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Exact entry, exit and break times.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Work modality (in-person or remote).<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Nature of the hours worked (ordinary, overtime\u2026).<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Waiting times, availability and digital disconnection.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Conciliation measures applied.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Total daily and monthly hours worked.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Record of the authorship of the modifications and their traceability.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Another notable new feature is that <\/span>Workers will be able to access and download their work schedule record at any time<\/b>and will receive a summary along with their monthly payslip. In addition, legal representatives and unions will have access to this information\u2014respecting data protection regulations\u2014and <\/span>The Labor Inspectorate will be able to consult the records remotely<\/b>, without needing to travel.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Once the final text is approved, the standard <\/span>It will come into force 20 days after its publication in the BOE (Official State Gazette).<\/b>Therefore, companies are advised to review their current timekeeping systems as soon as possible and begin adapting to the new digital requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n
