Women entrepreneurs can also benefit from aid of up to 7,500 euros<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Autonomous Community of Murcia has announced that the Zero Fee for long-term unemployed will come into effect in the first half of July, which will allow those people in this group who establish themselves as self-employed to not have to pay the fee for their first year, and only 50 euros per month for the second year.<\/p>\n

The press conference in which these new measures to support self-employment in the Community of Murcia were announced was led by the Minister of Employment, Universities and Business, Juan Hern\u00e1ndez, who pointed out the fact that the total of 44,756 long-term unemployed people over 30 years of age who are currently registered in the SEF offices are potential beneficiaries of this initiative, conceived as a stimulus to entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n

There will be an additional aid of between 2,000 and 3,500 euros for establishing yourself as a self-employed person<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The cost of this measure will be fully assumed by the Community, through the SEF, and, in addition, it will grant an initial aid to the new self-employed person of 2,000 euros in the case of men, 3,000 euros for women, and 3,500 euros for a disabled person.<\/p>\n

Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

The requirements to receive the aid are that these people have been unemployed for 12 of the last 18 months, and that they also follow a path in the SEF with support measures from their counselors, which will include the signing of a personal employment agreement.<\/p>\n

Hern\u00e1ndez stressed that "in no case do we want this incorporation into self-employment to be a desperate or impatient solution to prolonged unemployment. We want this Zero Quota to be part of a path in which, after detecting entrepreneurial desires in these people, they are offered all the resources and advice so that this venture has the greatest chance of success."<\/p>\n

This Zero Quota applied to the long-term unemployed group was born after the good results obtained by a similar measure but aimed at the young people under 30 years old<\/a> who are neither studying nor working and who are registered with the Youth Guarantee. In the Region, almost three young people apply for this measure every day on average.<\/p>\n

The councillor stressed that "this is not the only measure taken by the Community to encourage self-employment, but we already have a line of subsidies for the long-term unemployed ranging from 3,000 to 9,000 euros in aid for their first steps in self-employment, provided they make an initial investment in material."<\/p>\n

"We must continue to help those who have the desire, the commitment and the good ideas to continue strengthening this project of an entrepreneurial region, a region with a better future and a region with more jobs," he added.<\/p>\n

More support for women entrepreneurs<\/strong><\/p>\n

For her part, Noelia Arroyo, Councillor for Transparency, Participation and Spokesperson for the Regional Government, announced during the closing of the Assembly of the Association of Professional and Executive Businesswomen of Cartagena and the Region, AMEP, that the Regional Government will support businesswomen with the Zero Quota for self-employed women, with aid that can reach up to 7,500 euros,<\/p>\n

This is in addition to the initiative that the national government is going to launch, with 20 measures to support women entrepreneurs, such as a 20 percent deduction on telephone and electricity bills or a 25 euro daily deduction for maintenance expenses, as well as a 100 percent exemption from the self-employed fee for the care of minors for one year. In addition, in the case of victims of gender violence, aid can reach almost 10,000 euros, a measure included in the quality employment strategy.<\/p>\n
