It is an official title that is obtained after passing all the modules of a training action and that allows you to prove that you are qualified to carry out a certain job.

In 2017, a total of 5,923 unemployed people in the Region improved their options for finding work after obtaining a professional certificate, by successfully passing one of the employment training courses organized by the Ministry of Employment, Universities and Business, through the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF).

With the offer of these training actions, which are completely free, the SEF seeks, in addition to improving the qualifications of job seekers for their job placement, to facilitate them in obtaining an official degree valid throughout the national territory that accredits who have the knowledge and skills necessary to perform a specific profession.

In this way, 7,246 unemployed people enrolled last year in one of these SEF courses that entail the achievement of a professional certificate (the majority of them), which means that eight out of every ten students (84.9%) He completed it successfully and obtained official accreditation in the specialty for which he was trained.

As for the 1,323 participants who started one of these courses but did not end up graduating, 497 dropped out because they found work before completing their training period.

The general director of the SEF, Alejandro Zamora, pointed out that “these new professional certificates constitute 5,923 new and better employment opportunities in the Region, since the training offer of the SEF adjusts to the demands of the productive fabric by providing training in the sectors that "They are creating jobs at every moment."

The SEF courses that lead to a professional certificate provide training in a wide range of specialties and professional families, ranging from hospitality and tourism to physical and sports activities, including personal image and vehicle transportation and maintenance. , among others.
