You have three months to take advantage of the measure

The self-employed worker has the next three months to take advantage of the new cessation of activity. This will consist of a bonus for Social Security contributions in the coming months.

Beneficiaries will be able to enjoy a bonus on July, August and September installments. To do this, it is not necessary to request a new cessation of activity for this quarter, but rather the Administration will carry out the procedure ex officio.

This means that despite having enjoyed the cessation of activity until June 30, the self-employed will have a bonus in Social Security contributions through which they will obtain a deduction of the 100% of the contributions in the month of July ; In August they will have a reduction of 50%, while in September it will be 25%.

A minimum of 12 months of contributions and those who enjoy a flat rate or are in multiple activities are excluded

In this new measure, self-employed workers who have not had a minimum of 12 months of contributions are excluded. Those who enjoy the flat rate or those who are in a multi-activity regime will also not be able to benefit from this cessation of activity. Furthermore, it is an essential requirement that the self-employed who take advantage of the new cessation of activity are up to date with the payment of their fees.

Apart from that, those self-employed workers who expect to have a complicated situation in the third quarter of the year will be able to request a cessation of activity for the months of July, August and September. However, the net return for those three months must not exceed 5,818 euros and the sales volume will have to be 75% lower than the same period last year.

In the case of those who expect to have a complex situation at the end of the year, the amount of the benefit will be 70% of the regulatory base. They, on the other hand, will have to pay Social Security contributions. It will be the mutual insurance company that will refund the percentage corresponding to the bonus.
