The contribution base can be modified easily and electronically through the RED system. However, you must take into account the procedures and periods to make the change.
As of 01-01-2018, it is established that the self-employed may change their contribution base up to 4 times a year, choosing another within the minimum and maximum limits that are applicable to them in each year (the first day of April, July, October and January). Until then, only 2 changes were allowed per year (before May 1, with effect from the following July 1; and before November 1, with effect from January 1 of the following year).
