According to data published by the Ministry of Employment and Social Security for June 2015, the average retirement pension reached 1,020.80 euros, 2.1% more than in the same period last year. Regarding the average pension of the System, which includes the different classes (retirement, permanent disability, widowhood, orphanhood and in favor of relatives), it stood at 886.46 euros per month, which represents a year-on-year increase of 1.8%.
As a whole, the public system has 9,293,058 pensions, which represents an increase of 1.1% compared to last year. More than half of these benefits, 5,632,018, are for Retirement; 2,351,794 correspond to widowhood; 930,888 to Permanent Disability; 339,342 to Orphans and 39,016 to Relatives
Pensions in the Region of Murcia, below the rest of Spain
Regarding the data from the Region of Murcia, the average pension for permanent disability stands at 816.17, compared to the 923.50 national average; the average retirement pension in our region is 901.32 (1,020.80 is the national average).
Finally, the average pension for widowhood is 581.16, compared to 630.68 at which the national average is situated.
