The SEF budgets €1.2 million to serve more than 3,700 people in self-employment

The Ministry of Employment, through the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF), will allocate 1.2 million euros this year for the training of future self-employed workers in the Region of Murcia, a record figure. In total, there are 186 courses programmed that will guide 3,718 people on the necessary steps to successfully launch their own business.

This investment is allocated to the training of three specific profiles: on the one hand, under 35s, who have 56 training actions to which 493,000 euros are allocated; on the other hand, there are 29 entrepreneurship courses for people over 35 years of age, with an endowment of 235,000 euros; Finally, guidance on self-employment for people under 30 who neither study nor work and who are enrolled in the Youth Guarantee has an investment of 523,000 euros, and 101 programmed courses.

The courses include complementary accompanying actions, such as workshops, seminars, conferences or individualized tutoring that allows monitoring of the student's evolution during their business training.

Within the program aimed at people under 35, subsidies were awarded to 14 training entities, such as Ucomur, to carry out an orientation project financed with 55,000 euros, or the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of the Region (AJE), with a subsidy of 85,000 euros. to launch a new edition of the consultancy project 'Murcia Empresa'.

For its part, among the nine grants awarded to entities that train people over 35 years of age in entrepreneurship, include those awarded to Euroconsultoría Formación Empresa (50,000 euros to guide the creation of companies) or to the Regional Confederation of Business Organizations of Cartagena ( 8,000 euros for various seminars and group tutorials on entrepreneurship).

In the specific program for people under 30 enrolled in the Youth Guarantee there are projects such as 'Leadership, culture and talent', run by the entity Smartmind; a workshop for entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector (Calasparra Town Hall), or training in 'Business models, competitive strategy and innovation', given by the Federation of Commerce, Self-Employed and Electronic Commerce Entrepreneurs of the Region (Fecom).
