Companies in the Region that give an indefinite contract to an unemployed woman with a child up to three years old in her care will receive aid of 8,500 euros from the Ministry of Employment, Universities, Business and the Environment through the SEF. This is one of the measures that make up the new Community plan to help these women find employment, and which was presented this Tuesday to representatives of employers and unions, during the quarterly monitoring commission of the Employment Strategy quality.
The measure does not have a specific item, since it is included in the 1.8 million euros intended to promote the labor insertion of different groups with difficulties in accessing the labor market, such as young people, people at risk of exclusion or long-term unemployed. occupation. However, sources from the ministry estimate that this initiative aimed at unemployed mothers could have an amount of around 400,000 euros.
This plan, which will be activated soon, combines measures such as specific job guidance adapted to this group, priority in access to training and public paid work experience programs, scholarships to facilitate work-life balance while participating in courses, or the personalized support when establishing yourself as self-employed, along with financial aid.
According to the same sources, these women have added difficulties when it comes to finding a job, and one of the objectives of the regional government within the measures to eradicate the gender gap is to end these obstacles.

40 new measures since the Strategy started
The monitoring commission also certified that the Community has already activated 104 of the 132 measures planned for 2018 in the Strategy for Quality Employment, that is, 78 percent of the total. In addition, to date a total of 40 new measures have been incorporated that were not included in the initial document, but have been added to adjust to the nature of the Strategy: to act as a flexible and dynamic document.

Celdrán also recalled that “the temporary employment rate continues to decline, which indicates that we increasingly have more workers with an indefinite contract.
