The first of this aid is offered to those unemployed at risk of exclusion who register as self-employed in the Region.
At the beginning of 2018, the Ministry of Employment, Universities and Business will activate two subsidies aimed at bringing employment to the unemployed at risk of social exclusion in the Region, and from which the around one thousand people from this group registered as unemployed in SEF offices.
Specifically, there will be aid through the SEF of up to 9,000 euros for establishing themselves as self-employed if their project is accompanied by an investment, and 7,500 euros for companies that hire these people indefinitely.
The first of these aids is offered to those unemployed people at risk of exclusion who register as self-employed in the Region and justify having made an investment in property, plant and equipment of more than 2,500 euros. The amount of the subsidy ranges between 4,000 and 9,000 euros, depending on the initial investment.
Within the range of aid, the smallest amount is 4,000 euros, which a man at risk of exclusion receives when he justifies an investment in material for his business idea of between 2,500 and 5,000 euros. The maximum aid, of 9,000 euros, is received by a woman at risk of exclusion who justifies an investment of more than 5,000 euros.
The facilities for entrepreneurship will be completed with the Zero Quota in the event that the risk of exclusion affects young people enrolled in the Youth Guarantee or long-term unemployed, since it will include an initial aid of 3,500 euros. In addition, the Community will be responsible for the self-employed rate during the first year of activity, and the beneficiary will only have to pay 50 euros per month during the second year.
On the other hand, also at the beginning of 2018, aid of 7,500 euros will be launched for companies in the Region that carry out a full-time indefinite contract to one of these people. In the event that this indefinite contract is part-time, the aid will be 3,750 euros.
For the Minister of Employment, Universities and Business, Juan Hernández, "the objective of this measure is to encourage companies in the Region to bet on those unemployed who have it most difficult and through this line of subsidies we help from the regional Government to "those who decide to hire an unemployed person belonging to this group."
Hernández stated that "employment is for these people the best social policy, the one that brings them closest to inclusion. Therefore, one of our main goals is to continue raising awareness among businesses so that they are aware of these measures and benefit from them.
Priority participation in work experience programs.
The Strategy for Quality Employment 2017-2020 focuses special attention on groups at risk of exclusion, among which refugees have been incorporated for the first time.
Thus, the SEF offers these people job guidance and specific training so that they obtain key skills in language, mathematics and English. This is an essential requirement to access higher level training courses without needing to have the minimum ESO or Baccalaureate qualification.
Another resource made available to this group is priority participation in work experience programs within projects of social interest in municipalities, as well as the aforementioned aid to establish themselves as self-employed and for their hiring.
The counselor recalled that "the incorporation of refugees within the group of people at risk of exclusion also allows them to prioritize their participation in mixed employment and training programs or local public employment programs. "We thus make it easier for them to obtain work experience, because this will significantly increase their chances of finding a next job."
