Various entities will be able to undertake around fifty courses on information and communication technologies, aimed at young people between 16 and 29 years old.
The Regional Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment, through the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF), has awarded a subsidy of 595,000 euros to various training entities so that, throughout 2017, they can offer 51 information and communication technology courses to some 750 young people from the Region enrolled in the Youth Guarantee, between 16 and 29 years old and who are neither studying nor working.
These 51 courses, co-financed by the European Social Fund, will allow access to both basic and more advanced content and for more technical profiles. In fact, the Region is one of the first autonomous communities to offer these young people the possibility of receiving free training at this level.
Among the grants awarded are, for example, 55,000 euros to the Cartagena Regional Confederation of Business Organisations (COEC). Other entities that have received grants to train these young people are the Natanael Group (70,000 euros), Fremm (59,000 euros), the Nuestra Señora de la Salceda Vocational Training Centre (21,000 euros), Amusal (13,300 euros), and the Diagrama Foundation (13,300 euros).
The computer courses for young people enrolled in the Youth Guarantee are part of the specific training for this group that starts this year and that also offers them courses to obtain professional certificates, language courses and training projects in entrepreneurship, specifically aimed at young people with the intention of creating a company.
