The deadline for applications for grants from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities for the development of Professional Training Programmes in the Adapted and Special modalities, to begin in 2015 in the Region of Murcia, ends on July 9. These grants are intended for associations that work with young people aged 16 to 21 with specific educational needs.
The budget for this initiative is 1,520,000 euros, with which it is intended to serve more than 400 young people with 16 actions in the Adapted modality and fourteen in the Special modality. Non-profit associations that choose to carry out these programs will be able to obtain up to 40,000 euros for their development.
They include modules associated with units of competence of one of the Professional Qualifications, with a duration of between 15 and 19 hours per week and which end with the completion of a 120-hour training module in workplaces. In addition, they offer 10 hours of training per week in applied sciences, communication and social sciences that allow students to develop the skills for lifelong learning. These programs have other optional modules on Physical Activity and Sport, Personal Autonomy, Information and Communication Technologies and Spanish as a Second Language, each of two hours per week.
The Ministry of Education has designed a total of 23 different profiles, such as administrative services, office automation, electrical and telecommunications installations in buildings, electrical and electronic equipment, auxiliary operations in mechanical manufacturing or plumbing and heating-air conditioning. Profiles related to hospitality, commerce, gardening, agriculture, the furniture and decoration industry, as well as personal care and aesthetics, among others, are also offered.
The application, together with the documentation listed in the call for applications, must be submitted to the Registry of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities located at Avda. de la Fama No. 15 in Murcia, or to any of the offices provided for in article 38.4 of Law 30/1992, of November 26, on the Legal Regime of Public Administrations and the Common Administrative Procedure.
