The document prepared is within a period of public information until the 21st for possible modifications.

The Ministry of Finance has published a draft in which it has reported on the ministerial order by which, among other things, the conditions for access by self-employed workers to the objective estimation method of personal income tax and to the special simplified VAT regime will be maintained. That is, those self-employed workers who invoice more than 150,000 euros, and less than 250,000, will remain within this regime. This measure represents a significant saving for certain types of self-employed workers, who would have been forced to pay more taxes by entering the normal regime.

This document has been evaluated and submitted for public consultation and will remain open to possible modifications and suggestions until November 21.

As regards personal income tax, the amount of the signs, indexes or modules, as well as the application instructions, will be maintained for next year. All this, according to the Europa Press news agency in an information which also details that the reduction of 5% on the net income of modules derived from the agreements reached in the Self-Employed Work Roundtable with the different associations that represent the group will be maintained.

Last week, Finance Minister María Jesús Montero announced that the government would not touch the current limits that allow self-employed workers to pay taxes using the modular system, which would “benefit half a million self-employed workers.”

This will extend the system for the fourth time and cancel the changes that were planned to be introduced into the system as of 1 January 2019.

In another order of things, the Ministry of Finance has explained that for this period the reduction will also be maintained on the net income calculated by the objective estimation method of personal income tax and on the accrued quota for current operations of the simplified special VAT regime for economic activities carried out in the municipality of Lorca.
