The RDL has not yet passed through Congress
Moncloa still has a month to transfer to the CCAAs
The economy is still pending the expansion of the CNAES

The government spokesperson and finance minister, María Jesús Montero, stated this Thursday that she "hopes" that companies will be able to receive the aid included in the royal decree-law of 11,000 million this summer. This declaration represents a slowdown, since the Executive still has a month to make the transfers to the CCAAs, and then they have to make the distribution. At the moment, the RDL has not yet passed through Congress.

"I hope that during the summer these aids can be received, although the prospects of being able to receive them or know the amounts assigned to them will be a breath of fresh air for companies in order to go and ask for them," says the minister.

Montero hopes that the Congress of Deputies will approve "in the next few days" the royal-decree law already published in the Official State Gazette and asks that there be a broad consensus of the groups of the Lower House to move it forward.

The minister recalled that the Government has given itself a period of one month to be able to make transfers to the autonomous communities of the amounts that they will manage, which entails the signing of agreements with each one.

Thus, within a month the communities will be able to start making the calls for said aid, which already contemplate in the decree criteria for access to them, although the autonomous governments will be able to modulate them.

It should be remembered that, four days after approving the Royal-Decree-Law, coinciding with the presentation of direct aid from the president of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, and after pressure from the affected sectors, Nadia Calviño made a modification and included to the aid package of 11,000 million euros of aid for SMEs and the self-employed new sectors, expanding the number of activities likely to receive this injection of non-refundable money.

Specifically, the Government announced at that time the intention to expand the list prepared by 25 CNAES of 95 different types of economic activities that will be able to access those 7,000 million that have been reserved from the package approved by the Council of Ministers for direct aid aimed at SMEs and autonomous.
