Ruiz Gálvez and Human Direction organize a day on the standard, which comes into force on May 12

Ruiz y Gálvez Labor Lawyers, in collaboration with the Human Management Association of the Region of Murcia, have organized a conference on work registration and time control, with the aim of clarifying the obligations and performance criteria of the new regulation that will come into force next May 12.

The session, which was presented by the president of the Association of Food Companies (Agrupal), José García Gómez, was attended by more than 300 people, mostly Human Resources managers and businessmen.

Carolina Bastida, vice president of Human Management and director of Human Resources at Autobuses LAT, has intervened to comment on the importance of this type of meeting that deals with topics of relevance to the entire human resources sector.

Faustino Cavas Martínez, Substitute Magistrate of the TSJ Social Chamber and Professor of Labor Law, has analyzed the background of the reform on working hours control, believing that “it is a very scarce and imprecise regulation because it generates uncertainties.”

He has also named the main considerations to take into account in this new regulation: the working day record has a documentary dimension, no matter the support used to justify the time control; and the specific start and end time of each worker's day must be presented on a daily and individual basis. On the other hand, this new standard also shows that time flexibility and the recording of working hours must be made compatible, as well as "it is not necessary to make two records in parallel to reflect overtime", they can be shown in the same document.

Diego Martínez Rafecas, Head of the Labor and Social Security Inspection of Murcia, began his presentation by warning that “the labor inspection lacks specific instructions, so each inspector can interpret the rule.” Furthermore, he added that the reference to the work calendar is not valid in order not to control the work day.

Juan Antonio Gálvez Peñalver, partner at Ruiz y Gálvez Abogados Laboralistas, assessed the new regulations and closed the day by thanking the hundreds of people who attended the event, held at the Nelva Hotel in Murcia.
