The President of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, has announced that those unemployed for more than two years who decide to start a business will not pay Social Security in the first year.

He made this announcement during the interview given to the Autonomous Television of Murcia 7RM, in which he pointed out that it is one of the measures contemplated in the Strategy for Quality Employment that the Community agreed with the employers' association CROEM and the unions UGT and CC OO. , which has a special impact on the long-term unemployed, those who have not worked for more than two years.

In this way, the aim is to encourage them to get a job in six months, given the results that the measure has had in the group of people under 30 years of age who already benefit from it.
By taking advantage of this measure, nothing is paid to Social Security during the first year of being self-employed, while in the second year the fee is 50 euros per month.

Good pace in job creation in the Region of Murcia.

The regional president also assured that job creation is going at a good pace in the Region, since in the last year 36,000 new jobs have been generated. "The Region has created one hundred new jobs every day for a year," said the Chief Executive, also indicating that the Region leads economic growth statistics throughout Spain.

The president also highlighted during the interview on regional television the process of administrative simplification and the plan for electronic administration, which aims to "give citizens a more effective and efficient service 24 hours a day and seven days a week." week," declared the regional president.
