Fruit of this collaboration on September 12 the obligation to maintain the guest book was eliminated, which will mean savings of 700 million euros for SMEs and the self-employed. The president of ATA, Lorenzo Amor, has insisted that the elimination of administrative obstacles for the self-employed and business initiative must be a priority and that compliance with the rules cannot be an obstacle to economic activity.
The meeting was also attended by the advisor of the General Directorate of Administrative Modernization of the Ministry of Finance, Rocío Pérez de Sevilla, and the vice president of ATA, Celia Ferrero, who highlighted that in the first agreement between the Treasury and ATA, signed in 2014, 21 obstacles were identified, to which another 30 must be added that were presented in 2015. Ferrero has assured that ATA will continue working for and with the self-employed to identify nearly 40 more administrative obstacles for their elimination.
Lorenzo Amor, for his part, has recognized that there is still much to do and recalled that more than a million pages are legislated in the BOE a year. ATA has enabled a mailbox on its website so that self-employed workers can make inquiries about the elimination of administrative obstacles and to register the incidents they suffer with the different Administrations.
