The second of the new features introduced in the new royal decree is the new extraordinary benefit for self-employed workers affected by a temporary suspension of all their activity as a result of a resolution by the authority to contain Covid-19.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Affiliated and registered with RETA at least 30 days before the closure resolution.
  • Up to date with Social Security payments (payment invitation mechanism).
  • It is mandatory to remain registered with RETA during the closure period.

AMOUNT:

General amount: 50% of the minimum Contribution Base for your activity.

Two exceptional situations are contemplated:

  • Member of a large family whose only income (in the family unit) is from RETA: an increase of 20%
  • If there are 2 or more recipients of this benefit in the cohabitation unit (up to the first degree by consanguinity or affinity): 40% of the minimum Contribution Base each, without the option of an increase for a large family

ECONOMIC EFFECTS:

  • Presentation: within the first 15 days from the closure resolution and takes effect from the first day of closure.
  • Post presentation: From the day of presentation.

In both cases: until the last day of the month in which the closure ends due to administrative resolution.

PRICE:

Exemption from fees from the 1st day of the closing month until the last day of the closing month.

INCOMPATIBILITIES:

  • Remuneration for self-employed work with a salary greater than 1.25 times the SMI.
  • Performance of another activity on one's own account.
  • Perception of company returns with the activity closed.
  • Social Security benefits, with the exception of those that you have been receiving and that are compatible with the exercise of your professional activity.
