The active population survey for the second quarter of 2015 (full document in PDF) The decrease in unemployment in the Region of Murcia is estimated at 11,000 people, which represents a percentage of 5.9% in relation to the first quarter of this year.
The number of unemployed thus stands at 175,900 people, giving an unemployment rate of 24,77% of the total working-age population. If these figures are compared with those of the summer of 2014, the number of unemployed in the Region of Murcia has decreased by 3,14%, which means 5,700 fewer unemployed people.
Counting the people who have found work in the last three months, the number of employees stands at 534,200, 4,06% more than in the first quarter of 2015. However, compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the number of employed has decreased by 1,29%, a total of 6,981 fewer employed people.
All these data place the activity rate of the Region of Murcia at 60.10%.
