The figure of the flat rate, the capitalization of unemployment and the rights of TRADE are modified, among other aspects of the Statute of the Self-Employed
Starting this Saturday, several changes that affect self-employed professionals come into force, due to the launch of the Law 31/2015 which modifies and updates the regulations on self-employment (Statute of the Self-Employed) and adopts measures to encourage and promote self-employment.
Below we give you a summary of these modifications, some of which we have been talking about in the latest news published:
- Flat rate. From now on, anyone who registers as self-employed will be able to count on a fixed Social Security payment quota of 50 euros per month for six months, and at the end of this period they will continue to have bonuses that will vary over time and up to the age of 18. months. Self-employed workers who hire workers may also request to benefit from the flat rate.
- Capitalization of unemployment. From now on, there is no age limit when requesting the 100% unemployment benefit in a single payment, thus facilitating the financing of starting a business.
- Registration in self-employed and unemployment. Anyone who registers in the Special Regime for Self-Employed Workers and is collecting unemployment benefits does not have to give up the benefit, but may make it compatible with their work for a maximum of nine months.
- Second opportunity. It is an alternative to the above, since if you are collecting unemployment benefits, and you decide to register as self-employed, you can also request that the pending amount of the benefit be saved and recover it up to five years later.
- Reductions are established and Social Security contribution bonuses for people with disabilities, victims of gender violence and victims of terrorism who establish themselves as self-employed workers
- The reduction of quotas is established in favor of certain frelatives of the owner of the agricultural holding.
- Bonuses forlts of collaborating family members of self-employed workers.
- More rights for TRADE. Until now this group had certain restrictions, such as that they could not be in charge of employed workers or hire or subcontract part or all of the activity with third parties. Well, in certain circumstances this prohibition will not apply:
- If there is a risk during pregnancy and risk during breastfeeding of a child under nine months old;
- During periods of leave due to maternity, paternity, adoption or foster care, pre-adoption or permanent;
- For the care of children under seven years of age in their care;
- When you are responsible for a family member who is dependent or has a disability equal to or greater than 33%.
